Despite the scale and importance of public finance, many treasury and accounting teams still rely on fragmented systems and manual processes.
Bank data lives in portals. ERP data lives in reports. Investment activity lives elsewhere. Reconciling, reporting, and explaining what happened each month often requires spreadsheets, email, and significant staff time.
This complexity makes it harder to maintain visibility, ensure compliance, and respond quickly to leadership, auditors, and the public.
We chose the name Edwin to reflect the values we believe public finance software should embody: stewardship, financial accountability, and transparency in the management of public funds. It represents the role the platform plays for finance teams: a dependable partner that helps bring clarity, structure, and trust to complex financial work.
The name draws inspiration from Edwin Sydney Stuart, a public servant who served as the Mayor of Philadelphia and the 24th Governor of Pennsylvania. Known as "The Governor Who Cares," Stuart earned his reputation by personally exposing and prosecuting corruption tied to the misuse of public funds.
He became a symbol of fiscal responsibility, using his platform to institute better budgetary controls and safeguard the public trust. Edwin is meant to carry this legacy forward, helping agencies manage public money with clarity and confidence.
Edwin is built by a team with decades of experience designing and operating large-scale financial and software systems. The founders have led regulated treasury platforms managing billions in deposits and have built enterprise-grade infrastructure across cloud, data, and AI-driven applications.
